The following courses are specifically targeted at bus fleet operators and those working on high voltage systems on battery electric and hybrid buses.
- IMI L1 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness ideal for shunters, cleaners and management who are not directly working on vehicles.
- IMI Level 2 Award in Preparing Heavy Electric/Hybrid Vehicles for Repair. Safety concepts, safe high voltage isolation and preparation for repair operations.
- IMI Level 3 Award in Heavy Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement. EV system concepts, diagnostic methods and repair principles.
- IMI Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components. Detailed system concepts, live high voltage working methods, battery and high voltage system repair and diagnostics with delivery tailored to issues found in the bus industry.
All courses require the learner to do practical work on heavy vehicles or buses.
High voltage PPE will be provided by you must bring your own safety boots and overalls.
